The Best Exercises to Tone Your Face and Neck

Best hydrating sunscreen for dry skin.

Nobody likes to see the signs of aging. Feeling a little like you might need a neck lift? What if I told you, you could have the look and feel of a face and neck lift? And, without paying money, and even without leaving your desk? You might be surprised to learn about face and neck yoga, but it works! It can show lasting effects on fine lines, wrinkles, and loose skin that shows up in the face and neck as you age.

These simple steps can be done at your desk, or at night before bed.

1. Puff up your cheeks

This one is easy. Puff out both your cheeks and push the air in your mouth from one cheek to the next. Count five times each side, then blow the air out through the O shape of your mouth. Repeat three or four times to keep your cheeks firm.

2. Stick out your tongue

You'll feel silly, but this move will strengthen your chin, jaw, and neck. Stick your tongue out as far as it will go. Hold for five seconds. Repeat four of five times.

3. Pucker Up

A great exercise for your cheeks, around your lips, and your neck. Turn up toward the ceiling. While looking up, Pucker up like you're kissing someone tall. Hold for five seconds. Repeat five times. Bonus: Stick your tongue out while you do this exercise for high cheekbones and a better jawline.

4. The Eyes Tell All

Nobody likes to see crows feet lining the eyes. This exercise can help get rid of unwanted lines around your eyes and forehead. Open your eyes wide. Hold for five seconds, using your hands to force the skin of your forehead back. Repeat three times.

5. Strengthen Your Neck Muscles

This one is great to strengthen your neck, get rid of unwanted stress, and even help you work on that double chin. Tilt your head to the side, and roll it back and forth along your shoulders. First clockwise, then counterclockwise. Repeat three times.

6. Try The Owl Stretch

Stand straight, with arms loose at your sides and shoulders relaxed and down. Pout your lips. Breathing slowly through your nose, turn your head slowly, looking over your shoulder. You'll feel the pull in your jawline and neck. Repeat on both sides five times. If you have a weak chin, this exercise will help strengthen it, and also tone your neck. It can also help to relax your shoulders.

You're already using yoga to keep fit, toned, and healthy all over your body. Face and neck yoga can help keep you flexible and work against signs of aging. These steps will increase blood circulation, which leaves your face with a healthier appearance. You'll even feel better, as the stress you're carrying in your neck, shoulders, and jawline, will ease with these exercises. Try these exercises as part of your regular beauty routine. You'll notice dramatic results before you know it!
