The much-awaited 2018 edition of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is almost here! The brand uses the event to showcase its latest high-end products. The show typically brings together the who’s who of the fashion industry, mouth-dropping lingerie designs, and the world’s top supermodels.

When Will it Be Held?
2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was filmed live on 8th November. It will be broadcast to television and online audiences on 2nd December. American viewers will be able to watch the recorded show on ABC Network. British and UAE networks that will broadcast the show are yet to be announced. Last year, UK viewers were able to stream the show via the HayU app. We hope there won’t be a change this year.
Where Will the Show Be Hosted?
Just like we all expected, Victoria’s Secret rotates venues for filming the showcase. The 2017 edition of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was recorded at the Mercedes Benz Arena in Shanghai, China. This was seen as an effort by the luxury brand to tap into the growing Chinese market. In 2016, the show was taped in Paris, which hosts many fashion shows annually, and is regarded by many as the fashion capital of the world. This year, the brand settled on New Your City to host the annual fashion showcase.
Who is on the Runway Lineup?
Just like we all expected, Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2018 will features some of the most renowned models. We will see runway regulars Devon Windsor, Cindy Bruma, Shanina Shaik, and Leomie Anderson showcasing various Victoria’s Secret designs on the runway. Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, who have established themselves as the in-demand supermodels this year will also feature.
The 2018 edition of the show will also see German model Toni Garrn making a comeback after a 5-year absence. The show will similarly feature Duckie Thot and Winnie Harlow, who will be making their Victoria’s Secret debuts. Other first-timers that we expect to see on the runway include Iesha Hodges, Sofie Rovenstine, and Maia Cotton.
The star of the show is likely to be Kesley Merritt who will be the first Filipino woman to feature as a model on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. With such an impressive lineup, it isn’t surprising that Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2018 is highly-anticipated.
Which Artists Will Be Performing
Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows are renowned for featuring electrifying performances from top artists. Last year’s edition featured performances from Jane Zhang, Odom Junior, Miguel, and Harry Styles who headlined the show. This year’s line-up will comprise The Chainsmokers, Rita Ora, The Struts, Shawn Mendes, Halsey, Bebe Rexha and Kelsea Ballerini.
Which Designs Will be Showcased?
Generally, Victoria’s Secret runway models showcase a range of costumes ranging from lingerie and stiletto pairings to extravagant headdresses. Information about what models will wear on the runway remains scanty. What we know is that Victoria’s Secret dashing Fantasy Bra will the centerpiece of the show. It will be worn by the stunning Elsa Hosk who has been with Victoria's Secret since 2015.
The exquisite piece was hand-crafted using Swarovski Lab-created Diamonds and handpicked topaz. It took more than 930 hours to create and is valued at $1 million. That’s probably out of reach for most of us but nonetheless, a replica of the bra featuring Swarovski crystals will retail at $250 on victoriassecret.com and at select Victoria’s Secret stores.
During Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows, runway models typically showcase more than just lingerie and heels. The brand centers its shows on themes. In the past, we have seen themes such as “sexy nightwear” and “sexy sportswear.” Despite this, most of us stay glued to our screens to check out the glamorous and stylish designs on display.
Who are the Other Sponsors Involved?
Victoria’s Secret often teams up with other brands to ensure the success of its shows. This year, it has been revealed that Charlotte Tilbury, a contributing beauty editor with British Vogue, will be the official makeup sponsor. Charlotte has worked a lead makeup artist in past Victoria’s Secret shows.
Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018 is special to her because her makeup line Charlotte Tilbury Beauty will be celebrating its fifth anniversary. London Fashion Week guru Mary Katrantzou will also be involved in this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The brand will use her print know-how to enrich its lingerie sets.
