Kitten Rescue was founded in the spring of 1997 and has grown to become one of the largest and most respected animal welfare groups in Los Angeles. They are a non-profit, volunteer driven organization devoted to finding loving new homes for unwanted cats and kittens. Volunteers place approximately 1,000 cats & kittens into new homes every year.
Neigh Savers Foundation, Inc., is a certified 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the wellbeing of the horse. Neigh Savers Foundation creates new beginnings for unwanted horses. Through rescue, rehabilitation and retraining they provide the foundation needed for these horses to successfully transition to a new career. They empower the spirit of the horse to allow each animal to fulfill their purpose and succeed in a second career.
D.E.L.T.A. Rescue is located in the high desert area of Los Angeles. This 115-acre mountain top ranch is surrounded by rolling hills and is beautifully landscaped. It is truly a haven for the animals lucky enough to have crossed paths with its founder. Its Rescue Super Sanctuary is home to more than 1500 animals that have all been abandoned in the wilderness.
Mercy For Animals, founded in October 1999, is an international non-profit organization dedicated to preventing cruelty to farmed animals and promoting compassionate food choices and policies. They are on the front lines fighting to protect farmed animals from factory farms to corporate boardrooms, courts of justice to courts of public opinion, Mercy For Animals is there to speak up against cruelty and for compassion.
Founded in 1962 by Danny Thomas, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, located in Memphis TN, is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The mission of St. Jude is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. No child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
Homes for Our Troops (HFOT) is a privately funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds mortgage-free, specially adapted homes nationwide for severely injured Veterans Post – 9/11, to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives.
