This year has been unpredictable for everyone, and the fashion industry is no exception. With so many of us cooped up indoors for most the year, Spring and Summer 2021 couldn't come soon enough! These two seasons look to be a time of feeling free and being seen (one can hope) with top beauty trends taking a note from the good ole' days.
With so much going on in the world, it’s no surprise that upcoming trends move between extremes.
1. Bright Colors
Spring 2021 is all about bright, bold colors. Since many of us have spent months cooped up, colorful and eye-catching makeup is a must to get you noticed wherever you go. Bright, eighties-style lips and eyes will be a top beauty trend for spring and summer, in playful blues, pinks, and greens. When you do have a chance to take the mask off, you’ll have something to show off!

2. Beachy, Natural Waves

If you want to get it up and out of the way, try for a messy, casual bun up top, for a breezy, “great hair, don’t care” vibe.
3. Wet, Sculpted Hair
This is the season to get wet and wild. If you’re blessed with long locks, Spring and Summer of 2021 is a great time for that fresh out of the pool, slicked back look, without the chlorine smell or tangles. If your hair is shorter, do it up 20s style, with a perfectly smooth, perfectly sculpted hairstyle, for some control in these unpredictable times!

If you’re not going for bright and bold color, a more muted skin tone might be ideal. When’s the last time you had a full face of makeup? Nearly naked is all the rage on the runway. Try for a lip balm rather than a dark red lipstick, and relaxed eyeliner over a dramatic smokey eye, for an understated, nearly nude look.

5. Bold, Dark Eyeliner
Maybe it’s the result of covering our faces for months, maybe it’s a desire to return to the simpler days of early 2001. Whatever the reason, dark, heavy-lined eyes are back. While you could choose a simple bold line, smudged dark eyeliner gives you an updated, rockstar look borrowed from Fenty, Chanel, and other top brands.
